Stop and smell the roses….. or lavender
Aromatherapy is a way to rejuvenate ourselves simply and effectively with natural fragrances to nourish our mind, body and spirit – BryanI’ve never been one for New Year resolutions but since I start off the New Year with a birthday it has always made me think about what I’d like more of in the coming year. It is more of a “birthday wish list”.
Typically for me the list includes making more time for relaxing and enjoying just doing nothing in particular. For me, the easiest way to relax and rejuvenate is with aromatherapy. I really enjoy how essential oils can transport me to a place of deep relaxation and refresh my mind and body so effectively. If you haven’t tried it, you’ll be amazed at the benefits a few drops of an essential oil can bring.
During the winter it’s as easy as placing a small bowl of distilled water on top of the radiator mixed with a few drops of an essential oil (Chamomile, Clary Sage, Lavender, Ylang Ylang) and letting it slowly disperse into the room or filling a small spray bottle with the mixture and giving the shower wall a quick spritz to create a mini spa environment at the end of the day.
Thomson DiPalma products only use essential oils as opposed to “fragrance” so there is real therapeutic benefit for your hair and scalp. Essential oils are natural chemicals that are extracted from the leaves, flowers, stems, roots or bark of plants while fragrance oils are usually synthetic. Essential oils are very powerful and concentrated and should never be applied to the skin in their undiluted form.
