The Sky’s the Limit
It was great to hear how much they all loved the smell and how easily the tangles came out of their hair, also how a few of them loved it so much they decided to use it as bubble bath!! – Bryan “I’ll just go get myself some school snacks!” My son always calls to me as he runs off to do some shopping when we arrive at the supermarket.
I love that he takes care of himself and knows how to make healthy choices when it comes to food – even at school in the cafeteria he’s mentioned suggesting some healthy alternatives to the staff. I would always laugh when he was first reading ingredients on packaging and reassure me that he’d checked the “natural facts”. It also made shopping much less of a chore for both of us. He learned about ingredients that we should avoid, the ones that weren’t good for him specifically and then the more general ones that weren’t good for anyone.
When I first received our new Kid’s formulation I asked a few friends to use it on their children and requested feedback from the kids. I was curious about what they thought about it and anything they would notice. It was great to hear how much they all loved the smell and how easily the tangles came out of their hair, also how a few of them loved it so much they decided to use it as bubble bath!! One of the comments that I didn’t expect was how interested a lot of the children became in the “natural” ingredients and how it made this shampoo feel better on their hair.
One mother laughingly told me about her kids questioning her use of “bad” ingredients in other products she used on them. Why would she use chemicals on them when she could use healthier products? Didn’t she know better?
It reminded me when I first started talking to my son about natural ingredients and how what we put in our bodies affects us. I realized that it was never too early to talk about what “organic” and “natural” meant and how shopping could be a fun opportunity to learn about making good choices.
